Tim Martin grew up battling weight from childhood through adolescence. Once known as “the fat kid on the bus“ he began studying at a very young age how diet and exercise affected the body. Tim was a natural at being a personal trainer. “I loved teaching my friends at the gym what I had learned and then applying these tools to my own workouts.” In 1994, Tim’s hard work paid off with victory in the Tampa Bay Classic Bodybuilding Championship.

Graduating from Suncoast Massage therapy school and becoming an LMT led him to a career in personal training some twenty-five years ago. “I simply love what I do. My clients are some of the most interesting and fascinating people I have ever met, and, although I am the teacher in the training room, I learn as much from them, as they do from me.”

Every Betterfit client is treated like an individual and their fitness needs are treated as such also.
